A day in our house...

If you're ever wondering what a day in our house is like....

Got up this morning. David has a nasty cough, so we stayed home from church. The kids took off outside, so I decided to try and sneak in a quick shower. Believe it or not, I rather enjoy showers during the daylight hours. If you remember the last time I tried taking a shower, Allie put my lipstick all over her face. So anyway, I take my shower and wasn't disturbed. It was lovely. The house was quiet, so I look outside and the kids were playing. All seemed well. Yay! Oh but not so fast... I noticed that there was something in the fish tank (which we haven't even had a week yet). It was dog food. And the fish were chowing down. So I get the kids in the house and Caleb said that they were hungry, he is usually the culprit. All 9 of the fish were dead in less than an hour. I'm really peeved because that fish tank was more for me than the kids, so I'm a bit sad about it. Grr! 🐟🚽 

Okay, so next up... I decided to make cupcakes. I got the neon food coloring and made up some buttercream frosting. Got the cupcakes frosted and I'm cleaning the bowl and I turn around, and I swear it looked like David was bleeding out of his mouth. He squirted purple food coloring in his mouth and it was just dripping out all over. Ugh! So he is stained purple, oh and so am I. Ugh! 

So I decided to go ahead and give the boys haircuts and showers in hopes to get the purple off of David. He is stained more of a pink color now. This ought to be fun to explain at school tomorrow. 

As I'm cutting the boys hair, Allie decided to poop and take her diaper off. She left it for me on the floor by my side of the bed. She's a sweetheart. 😑

Now to finish making spaghetti, no telling what will happen when they sit down to eat. 😳

Little Princess

Double Trouble....

Well, I decided to double up on doctors appointments. I took Caleb and Allie in for their well child visits. Note to self- never take the two youngest together! They were very busy bees and couldn't be still to save their lives. Why do kids want to split off into two different directions when you (the parent) are outnumbered. It. Never. Fails. 

Caleb did great! He had to get his finger poked and he got two shots. Didn't shed a tear! He is a healthy almost 3 year old! 

Allie on the other hand...is a very stubborn little girl! She was slightly difficult. Not terrible, but she wasn't into her visit. Poor thing had to get 4 shots! She cried lots of tears! Other than that, she is a healthy 18 month old! 

They both crashed out on our way home! Glad to put this day to bed! 😊 

The latest and greatest…

Yeah, I know it's been almost 6 months since I've said anything. But, lets be honest who really reads this anyway?

In the last 6 months, not much has happened. The hubs has been busy working and I've been here with the kids. Nothing exciting people. 

Wait, no I forgot! We got a puppy!! His name is Buster and he is a Bullmastiff. He is the sweetest dog! Well behaved too! 

Next month my sweet David and precious Allie are having birthdays! David will be 4 and Allie will be 1! This past year has flown by. David wants a pirate party, so that's what we are going to do. I love planning parties when they are involved and know what they want. It's so much fun! They will have a combined party since Allie has no idea what is going on. Lol! I'm thinking it will be a Pirate/Princess party! Fun stuff!!

Caleb is 2!!

My baby boy turned two today! We got him a "big boy" bed (toddler bed) for his birthday. He is so happy! He has loved his big brother's bed for some time, and now he has his very own. Tonight they have their beds pushed next to each other and are very happy boys!

Took the boys to the park today to expel some built up energy! They had a blast! Allie even did too! :)

Allie Rose is 6 months

Our little Allie girl turned 6 months old yesterday, February 11, 2013. She is getting so big!! She is the sweetest and happiest baby! We couldn't love her more! 💗

Made the move

Allie has officially made the move from the bassinet to the crib. I got it all set up with her pretty princess bedding that my Mom got for her. She seems to be happy in it. I laid her down tonight and she went right to sleep. I love being able to put her down awake and she will put herself to sleep. It's great! I'm happy to have her in her own room, although I didn't mind having her in our room. Lol! I'll miss her.

"Rolling" with the changes

Well, it's official! Allie rolled over for the first time today! I went to get her up from her nap, and found her on her back (she sleeps on her tummy). So she will be moving into her crib tonight. I'm excited and sad, she is getting so big so fast. It's time to "girly" up her room. Yay!

Allie is such a happy baby! I love seeing this face first thing in the morning when I'm fighting to keep my eyes open! Lol!

I'm still here…

Okay, once again it has been forever. I was just looking at my last post and it said that I am now a Mom to two kiddos, well hang on to your hats because I am now a Mom to THREE kiddos!

Yes, A LOT had happened in a years time. Let me sum it up the best I can.…

• RW got out of the Army.
• We moved from Colorado to Alabama.
• RW got hired on with CSX Railroad.
• Found out we were expecting #3.
• The boys and I spent 3 months in California while RW was in school.
• While in California, Caleb turned 1!
• We came back to Alabama in June.
• David had his 3rd Birthday.
• One week after David's birthday, Alice Rose Roley made HER debut! Yes, HER! We finally have our girl!!

Alice, also know as Allie spent 2 weeks in the NICU, as she was 6 weeks early! It was a scary delivery, emergency c-section the whole thing! All is well now and Allie Rose is 5 months old and growing like crazy. We are indeed blessed with sweet babies!

Now that I have figured out how to blog from my phone, I will probably be better about keeping up. I don't have much time to sit on the computer anymore. It's much easier to zap something out on the phone! My kids keep me very busy. Never a dull moment!!

Update

Hello Everyone,

Well, again it has been far too long since I have made any new posts on here. I am now a Mommy to 2 kiddos, so I have an excuse! I've been busy! LOL!

Caleb Aaron Roley made his arrival on February 21, 2011 @ 9:06 AM. He was 5lbs 8oz and 19in. He was 5 weeks early, so it was quite the whirlwind. We were not prepared or ready at all, but really are we ever really ready?! Haha.

I will post my birth story later, just thought I would add a little update for any of the readers out there.

OH and before I forget, I am going to make my blog PRIVATE! There are some people out there that I know are reading it, that I DO NOT want! I would like to keep the nosy people out of the loop, so if you would like to keep reading send me your email and I will add you to the list and you will still be able to read along! :)

He took the Plunge!

We were at our friend's house for dinner and the kids were playing and having fun. I had my eye on David, but as we all know in just a blink of an eye kids can get into mischief. Someone left the bathroom door open and I hear, "Mama, Mama, MAMA" so as I go in to see what was wrong I found him standing in the toilet. I have no idea HOW he got in there! We made him wait a minute before we got him out because this was a total "picture" moment! :)

Update for all the whiners out there! LOL!

Okay, well yes it has been 5 months since I have blogged. Sorry, but life got busy! There is too much to write so I will take some advice and update everyone in a list, Here goes...

~ RW got back to the US on June 1st!

~ We made a visit to TN to visit RW's family.

~ Headed back to CA, visited for a while then loaded up and headed back to CO.

~ Back in CO for about a week and found out that I am PREGNANT with #2! I am now almost 21 weeks along.

So after all of this happened, I was SO sick with morning sickness. I really thought I was going to die, but I didn't. :) David and I made a visit home to CA for 2 weeks. We had a good time with everyone. After we got back to CO I had the BIG appointment and found out that we are having another BOY! Back to the blues and greens! Lol!

David has kept me on my toes, I will say that it is more challenging than I thought to chase after a 15 month old when you are 20 weeks pregnant! :) He is such a funny boy, starting to say things now and he is walking like crazy! Aaaaahhhh! Haha!

New Videos

We had all 5 of the Vaughan kiddos last night. David loves all of the kids so much, so it was the perfect chance to get some video of them playing together. David can get all of the kids to do whatever he wants! It is so funny! Here are a 2 videos of them playing together! Very cute.

A new phase...

Things have been interesting around here. David is changing everyday! He is teething like crazy right now! He is cutting 6 teeth! Yikes! He has also decided that he is not into baby food anymore. I try and feed him and he will take maybe a bite or two and is done. He wants MY food! He loves to eat big people food! LOL! I can't believe how fast he is changing. He is getting to be independent, he doesn't want me to put food in his mouth he wants to do it himself. Uh oh! I fear this is just the beginning! LOL! RW and I may have our work cut out for us! :) He is such a sweetheart though. Lately, he has had the "mommy's". Its nice, but at the same time it can make it hard to get things done. I am just going to enjoy it, because I know it won't last long. It is just a phase, just like everything that he is doing. He is only little once, I just have to remember to enjoy it all while I can. :) I love my baby!

Lollipop

Here is another video I threw together. The sucker actually started out as mine, but little one kept trying to pull it out of my mouth! So I let him have a taste, and that was it! It was all his after that! LOL! That was his first and last lollipop for a while! MESSY!! :)

This is a video of David taking his first bath in the kitchen sink! He LOVES bath time, and I like giving him a bath in the sink. It is much easier on the back! Lol! I had fun playing with this one! :) Enjoy!

9 Months Old!

Well, yesterday David turned 9 months old! I can't believe it! He has gotten so big. I can say that these 9 months have gone by way faster than the 9 months I was pregnant! Lol! He is so much fun and has such a fun personality. Although, when we are in public he has the best "serious" face! He can look at you like you are an idiot! Haha! I just wish that he felt better. He has been sick for a few days now, and has a horrible cough and stuffy nose. He just doesn't feel well, poor guy! I'm hoping he feels better soon. :)

I'm back!

I apologize yet once again for my lapse in blogging. Things have been busy here. Softball/baseball season is here and we are in full swing (no pun intended). Grace and Jeffrey's schedules seem to conflict quite a bit. One will have a game and one will have practice, same day same time. It can get crazy, but it is fun!

David is getting bigger by the day. I can't believe that in just a few days he will be 9 months old! Where has the time gone? He is so much fun! He is clapping his hands now, all by himself! It is so cute, he is also waving. He hasn't started crawling yet, I go back and forth because I want him to start crawling, but at the same time I think I can wait for that! Lol! Maybe I am not quite ready! Haha!

RW will be home soon! I can't wait! It has been crazy trying to make plans to get out there for his homecoming, but I think we may finally have it organized. Thank goodness! It has been a real headache. I can't wait to get out there and see him, just knowing that he will be back and isn't going anywhere is such a great feeling. I am excited!!

This weekend is going to be fun and busy! Mom went to a Ladies Retreat with my Grandma (her Mom) for the weekend. So I am at home with my little brother and sister. We are having fun, and tomorrow night the Vaughan kiddos are coming for a sleepover. We will have a total of 8 kids in the house! It is going to be fun! Sara and I are excited!
