Update for all the whiners out there! LOL!

Okay, well yes it has been 5 months since I have blogged. Sorry, but life got busy! There is too much to write so I will take some advice and update everyone in a list, Here goes...

~ RW got back to the US on June 1st!

~ We made a visit to TN to visit RW's family.

~ Headed back to CA, visited for a while then loaded up and headed back to CO.

~ Back in CO for about a week and found out that I am PREGNANT with #2! I am now almost 21 weeks along.

So after all of this happened, I was SO sick with morning sickness. I really thought I was going to die, but I didn't. :) David and I made a visit home to CA for 2 weeks. We had a good time with everyone. After we got back to CO I had the BIG appointment and found out that we are having another BOY! Back to the blues and greens! Lol!

David has kept me on my toes, I will say that it is more challenging than I thought to chase after a 15 month old when you are 20 weeks pregnant! :) He is such a funny boy, starting to say things now and he is walking like crazy! Aaaaahhhh! Haha!

New Videos

We had all 5 of the Vaughan kiddos last night. David loves all of the kids so much, so it was the perfect chance to get some video of them playing together. David can get all of the kids to do whatever he wants! It is so funny! Here are a 2 videos of them playing together! Very cute.

A new phase...

Things have been interesting around here. David is changing everyday! He is teething like crazy right now! He is cutting 6 teeth! Yikes! He has also decided that he is not into baby food anymore. I try and feed him and he will take maybe a bite or two and is done. He wants MY food! He loves to eat big people food! LOL! I can't believe how fast he is changing. He is getting to be independent, he doesn't want me to put food in his mouth he wants to do it himself. Uh oh! I fear this is just the beginning! LOL! RW and I may have our work cut out for us! :) He is such a sweetheart though. Lately, he has had the "mommy's". Its nice, but at the same time it can make it hard to get things done. I am just going to enjoy it, because I know it won't last long. It is just a phase, just like everything that he is doing. He is only little once, I just have to remember to enjoy it all while I can. :) I love my baby!

Lollipop

Here is another video I threw together. The sucker actually started out as mine, but little one kept trying to pull it out of my mouth! So I let him have a taste, and that was it! It was all his after that! LOL! That was his first and last lollipop for a while! MESSY!! :)

Splish, splash!

This is a video of David taking his first bath in the kitchen sink! He LOVES bath time, and I like giving him a bath in the sink. It is much easier on the back! Lol! I had fun playing with this one! :) Enjoy!

9 Months Old!

Well, yesterday David turned 9 months old! I can't believe it! He has gotten so big. I can say that these 9 months have gone by way faster than the 9 months I was pregnant! Lol! He is so much fun and has such a fun personality. Although, when we are in public he has the best "serious" face! He can look at you like you are an idiot! Haha! I just wish that he felt better. He has been sick for a few days now, and has a horrible cough and stuffy nose. He just doesn't feel well, poor guy! I'm hoping he feels better soon. :)

I'm back!

I apologize yet once again for my lapse in blogging. Things have been busy here. Softball/baseball season is here and we are in full swing (no pun intended). Grace and Jeffrey's schedules seem to conflict quite a bit. One will have a game and one will have practice, same day same time. It can get crazy, but it is fun!

David is getting bigger by the day. I can't believe that in just a few days he will be 9 months old! Where has the time gone? He is so much fun! He is clapping his hands now, all by himself! It is so cute, he is also waving. He hasn't started crawling yet, I go back and forth because I want him to start crawling, but at the same time I think I can wait for that! Lol! Maybe I am not quite ready! Haha!

RW will be home soon! I can't wait! It has been crazy trying to make plans to get out there for his homecoming, but I think we may finally have it organized. Thank goodness! It has been a real headache. I can't wait to get out there and see him, just knowing that he will be back and isn't going anywhere is such a great feeling. I am excited!!

This weekend is going to be fun and busy! Mom went to a Ladies Retreat with my Grandma (her Mom) for the weekend. So I am at home with my little brother and sister. We are having fun, and tomorrow night the Vaughan kiddos are coming for a sleepover. We will have a total of 8 kids in the house! It is going to be fun! Sara and I are excited!

Hater

Hater/ By Maya Angelou

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their
time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.
They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever
good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing
you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be
like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they
have...

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they
don't know my story...

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you
can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Start your own business
d) Tell a man / woman to hit the curb
(if he / she isn't about the right thing)

e) Raise your children without both parents being
in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.
Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be
on our side

How do you handle your undercover haters?
You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are
*(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not
mean having a job. You can have a job and still be
unfulfilled.

A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.
Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine
prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when its your
time to leave this earth, you 'want' to be able to say, 'I've lived my
life and fulfilled 'my' dreams,... Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, 'Don't look at
me...Look at Who is in charge of me...'

New shoes

David got his FIRST pair of big boy tennis shoes today, so I put them on him and we left for Lucy's dance recital. After we got there and got our seats I noticed that he was only wearing 1 shoe! I looked everywhere, tore apart the diaper bag, looked in the parking lot...couldn't find it anywhere! I was so bummed! We got home and I found the missing shoe on the floor!! LOL! Must have fallen off as we were heading out the door!!! Now we have a "pair of shoes" again!! :) YAY!

I heard from my Hubby!

I got a call from my hubby tonight! It was so good to hear his voice! He is making the journey back just fine. Not much longer and he will be back here with us! I can't wait!!

I hate that he has to go back, but at the same time I want him to get back there so he can pack up and get back to me! Lol! It is a mixture of feelings. We are on the down hill slope from here.

The Latest and Greatest

So a lot has happened since I have last written. David now has 2 teeth, RW has been home for his R&R, we have taken a trip to Alabama and then back to California, got a black lab, RW left, and my friend Sara (an Army wife also) moved in with us while our hubby's are away. Hmm...I think that about covers it! Lol! Lets get started...

As far as David goes, his teeth are coming in nicely. He looks so darn cute with those 2 bottom teeth! I was sad when I noticed that he was getting his teeth, because I loved his toothless grin. I am now loving his little 2 teeth smile! ♥

RW came home for a visit. That was the best thing EVER! It had been 8 months since we had seen one another, so this was HUGE!! Plus, it was the first time he had ever seen David in person! That just blessed my heart so much, seeing father and son bonding the way that they did. David took to RW immediately! I was so happy! :)

Only being here for 2 weeks, RW and I had lots to do. We made a trip to Alabama to visit his family. It was the first time they had met David too, well except for Aunt Rachel! She made a visit out here to CA to visit David when he was 3 months, so he had changed a lot by the time we went back there. We had a good visit there. The bummer was that David got sick! He got an ear infection and was so congested. Bless his little heart, as sick as he was he remained in good spirits! :)

We came back to CA and just spent some time together as a family! It was wonderful! About 2 days before RW had to leave again, he decided that he wanted to get his black lab! He had been wanting one for quite some time. He had a black lab when he was a kid and has wanted one ever since! Soo...we found one on craigslist. He is about a year and a half old, and his name is Holt. He is a sweet dog! RW only had about a day with him before he had to leave. So now I definitely had my hands full with a 7 month old and a puppy! LOL! Its funny because now it seems like our little family is complete, well for now at least! RW was just beaming because he was so happy to have his dog! I loved to see that, it made me so happy!

The night before RW left to head back "across the pond", we went up and stayed in a hotel right by the airport because his flight left out really early in the morning! I was so sad to see him go! It was just horrible, luckily he will be back sooner than later so that is a blessing! I can't wait for that! He was having a hard time leaving too, he said that having a wife and son, and now his dog made it so much harder to leave! It broke my heart when he told me that! I just felt so helpless. It is times like that where there are no words to say that can give comfort, just being there and holding his hand listening to what he had to say was what he needed! I can do that! :) I am anxiously awaiting the Homecoming of my Soldier, and the day we are all together as a family again! :) ♥

My friend, Sara a fellow Army wife moved in with us today for a couple months while our hubby's are away! We are so happy to have her here! It will be a fun next few months! :)

That about wraps up what has been going on here! I really need to stop waiting so long to write, then I wouldn't have so much to catch you all up on! LOL! I was a little busy though, I am sure you all understand...right!? ;)

The Latest on The Roley's

I just thought I would let you all know that RW is on his way home! He will only be here for 2 weeks, I wish it could be longer but it is SO much better than him not coming at all. These next 2 weeks are going to fly by! I am just so happy that RW will finally be able to meet his son. We have waited a while for this! I am really excited! Please keep RW in your prayers as he is on his way back to us! :) ♥

On a side note, David started teething! He cut his first tooth on Thursday, and then the other one broke through today! He gets cranky, but he is actually doing remarkably well! He is an easy going baby, and while he gets fussy I guess it could be worse. I am just going to count my blessings and pray that it doesn't get any worse! :) I can't believe he is 6 months now! Time flies, I must say that I LOVE this age! He is a blast!! I wish I could just freeze him and keep him at this age for a while! LOL!

I better close for now, I still have a few things to do to prepare for my hubby's arrival! Hopefully, if everything goes well we will see him tomorrow afternoon! :) ♥

My Stud!

I came across a pair of my little brother's old sunglasses from when he was a baby, and I just had to put them on David! LOL! He looked so cute in them, and he even left them on. I think he is still little enough to where he doesn't realize quite how to get them off. I had to grab a picture, it was with my cell phone so it isn't the greatest. He looks like a stud, just like his Daddy! Hehee! Just thought I would share! :)

My Flowers

I received a surprise birthday gift from my sweet husband! My birthday was on Feb 2. I am a little late getting these pictures up! LOL! It was really funny because I talked to him for quite a while that day, and right after we hung up there was a knock at the door. There was a box sitting on the doorstep. I was kind of confused because it said on the box that it was flowers, but I couldn't figure out how in the world there were flowers in this "square" box! Well, I was surprised to see that my flowers were shaped like a slice of cake! It is the coolest flower arrangement I have seen! Very creative! Good job honey! I love them so much! They are still alive and pretty, I love to look at them. Just thought I would share that with all of you! :)

Yummy!

David is officially on baby food! He has had some of the baby cereal and this week we started on carrots. He likes them. We are still trying to get used to eating from the spoon, and sometimes it gets a little messy! LOL! He is so much fun! I can't believe how big he is getting! He is saying, "MA MA!" now! It is the funniest thing! I absolutely ♥ it! He knows the right times to say it too! Haha! He is my silly little monkey! :)

We're On a ROLL!

We are on a roll, literally! David decided to roll over today! It was so exciting! We have been practicing and practicing! The exciting thing is that he rolled over on Jeffrey (my little brother) and Dawn's (my Sister in law) birthday! It was a nice end to our day! Its funny what happens when he wants a toy bad enough! Haha! I am going to try and get it on video so I can share it with everyone. He is so much fun!! :)

A few new videos

Here are a couple videos from the past few weeks. I have been bad about uploading them. My Mom got me a Flip video camera for Christmas and I LOVE it! The videos come out so clear! The ONLY downside to it is that I can't upload them to my editing program and have fun with them, because of the type of file format they are. :( The good news is that there is a program out there that I can get to do it! Yay! Now I just need to get it. I am only adding 2 videos to this post because it is LATE and I need to get to bed. I have a baby who will be up before I know it! It has been a while...

Hello Everyone,

I apologize for my blogging break. Things around here have been pretty busy! Lets see if I can recap the last month or so...

Lets see, we will start at Christmas. My friend Sara, who is also an Army wife came up from Sacramento to spend Christmas with us. Both of our hubby's are deployed together. So while they spent the holiday together, so did we. :) It was nice to have her here, she even stayed an extra day!

New Year's Eve was the grand opening of our church's new coffee shop, HeBrews. It was a fun night making coffee for all of our church family. My Mom and her friend Michelle are running it, so I have had a fun time perfecting my White Mocha Freeze! :)

On January 4th, my little boy turned 5 months old! I can't believe how big he is getting! He is reaching out and grabbing things, and he is slowly starting to reach for me when others are holding him. He is such a funny little guy, he has such a personality and has a smile on his face most of the time. He is such a blessing. I am so excited because at the end of next month he will get to see his Daddy for the first time, and I will get to see my Hubby after a long 8 months!! I can't wait to see the two of them together! :)

Last night was the County Spelling Bee. My little sister, Grace and her best friend, Ashton won the spelling bee at their school for grade 4-6 and were the 2 contestants sent to represent their school for the county. Their sweet friend, Katie won the spelling bee at her school also so the 3 girls were all up there together. It was so cute. They did a GREAT job! There was a total of 30 kids; Grace got 9th place, Ashton got 8th place, and Katie got 3rd place! They made the top 10. I am so proud of them!!

That about sums up the last month. I know I say this after every post, but I will TRY and be better about blogging. It has been tough to keep up because my computer died. I asked my husband for a new one, and he ordered me one and had it sent to me!! So sweet!! Thanks baby!! So, I will do my best to keep it up. I hope this finds everyone doing well.
